Thanks to STIHL's handy 2-MIX engine, machine emissions are reduced by up to 70% and the fuel consumption of the chainsaw is also 20% lower than STIHL 2-stroke engines. Further features of the MS 231 include an anti-vibration system allowing for much more controlled and comfortable operation, along with a single-level master control system allowing for ease of operation also. Further ease of use additions includes a tool-free filler cap and a side chain tensioner.
